Sergio Chinelli qualified with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (2002) and a Bachelor of Architecture (2004) from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. In 2004 he founded Sergio Chinelli Architects and in 2006 he registered as a professional architect with SACAP (The South African Council for the Architectural profession). Sergio has over 19 years’ experience specialising in bespoke residential architecture. He continues to push the design envelope in an attempt to produce the very best modern contemporary South African architecture in beautiful locations where the objective is for the architecture to engage with the natural environment. Sergio is a member of SAIA (The South African Instuture of Architects) and GIFA (The Gauteng Institute for Architecture).

Professional Architectural Draughtsperson
Jason Amaral completed a higher certificate in architectural technology at Inscape in 2017. He Joined Sergio Chinelli Architects in 2018 where he completed his practical internship under the mentorship of Sergio Chinelli. In May of 2023 he wrote his professional practice exam with SACAP and registered as a professional architectural draughtsperson. Jason’s passion and commitment to the practice and its design objectives has proved invaluable.
