Momotaro (Peach Tree House)

Momotaro

architecture

This long and narrow site situated in Helderfontein Estate in Fourways required a unique architecture solution that would ensure the elongated house would enjoy as much northern sunlight as possible. The entertainment area and bedrooms gesture towards open views across the narrow peach tree lined garden. The butterfly roof is split by a flat concrete roof housing skylights that allow natural light to pour into double volume spaces naturally illuminating the heart of the home.
